Mission Planner hangs after connecting to plane

I’m finding Mission Planner hangs after initially connecting to the plane. It says “Done” but then just sticks there and there is nothing I can do.

This is connecting to SITL on my Mac, but I have had the same experience with a real plane. This is what SITL shows when this happens:

I am having the same issue (and others) on MP android. I am able to get the “done” screen to go away by selecting the “back” option in android. Here is a video of the same issue. I am also confused on how I should be connecting and how long it most of the video sped up for time.

Should I click yes or no when it says a mavlink stream has been detected would you like to connect?

Thanks
