How come lat and longs are so much different in mission planner that other aviation gps’s and google earth
Sometimes I take a handheld gps to get coordinates for mission planner programming but just in my area it is consistently at least 9 miles off?
I have an aviation gps, and a handheld and they match more with google earth. Mission Planner is several miles off for the same coordinates.

RC flying field I made a waypoint in Mission Planner ( in pics is WP 1) at 29.0467462N -82.4314204W
in Google Earth the same waypoint (WP2 in pics) comes up at 29.024826N -82.255310W
In measurement is 56711.68ft = 10.74 miles apart for the exact same spot on map
This is located in Dunnellon, Florida Area code 34432

your google earth image is showing degrees minutes seconds, not decimal degrees like MP uses.

Thank You very much, that makes perfect sense now. I just need to do the conversion to decimal degrees.
