Mission Planner and Pixhawk Compass

Hello,
I am working on a project where I will need the Mission planner GUI and just the yaw and the pitch for this project.
I will not be using any motors. Just a Radiolink Pixhawk and an Xbee to send data to my laptop.
I uploaded the latest copter firmware to my pixhawk. However, when I connect the pixhawk to mission planner I get an accurate yaw but when I move the pixhawk, the yaw moves to the new direction but then resets to the initial value that was displayed when the pixhawk was initially connected.
I am not sure if anyone is using the pixhawk for the same reason I am using it for or if anyone has faced this issue I am facing, but any assistance would be highly appreciated.

This was a mistake. Radiolink is not abiding by the GPLv3 license and should not be supported.

This will happen w/o a compass. The Yaw indication is from the Z-axis Gyro. Is the internal compass being recognized and have you calibrated it?
