Mission Planner 1.3.44 Broken after latest MS update3/14 on WIN 10?

Not sure what’s up here, been using MP for a long time. Got prompted to restart after MS patched the laptop and MP now just hangs. It did open once after waiting 20 minutes. Tried a de-install then deleted the entire directory,re-installed but same issue persists…

Anyone else seen this on the 3/14 update release from MS?

It just opened again and seems normal, let me dig in the event log for clues. Laptop is dedicated for MP and runs no other apps.

All works here. Maybe your graphics driver has an issue.

Bingo! MS update broke Intel HD graphic driver. Re-installed Intel Graphics driver and all is well again.

I have the exact same problem here on a Samsung Chronos Serie 7.
I updated the Intel HD Graphic driver and everything worked fine again in MP but the graphic acceleration was broken in my browsers and other applications. I had to update de Nvidia driver to fix it, but since then, MP is not working anymore. I checked both display adapters (Intel HD Graphics 4000 and Nvidia Geforce GT 640M) and they are up-to-date.
Anybody else encountered that situation and got a solution?

are you updating from the vendor website? or windows update?
I would suggest using the vendor website over windows update

Well, its doing it again, log I posted earlier is pretty much the same hang as I had before. I’ll reload the latest intel drivers again…

Saw the post about switching to GDI+ (Old type) and that solved it for now

I updated from the vendor site.
If I check in Windows Update now, both drivers (Intel and Nvidia) are up-to-date.
If I check to use old GDI+, it works again.
Strange…
