Hi All,

Does anybody encountered with Mission Planner crash on launch after installing last update?

OS: Windows XP SP3 with all updates installed running in Parallels Desktop

Issue update

I’ve tested new version of Mission planner in:

  1. Windows XP SP3 Russian edition 32 Bit with all updates installed (old installation) + Parallels Desktop 8.0 - result is crash
  2. Windows 8.1 Preview Professional Russian 32 bit (clean install) + Parallels Desktop 8.0 - result is crash
  3. Windows 7 Home Premium Russian 64bit edition (old installation) all updates installed standalone copy on notebook - result is crash
  4. Windows 8.1 Preview Professional English edition 64x (clean install) + Parallels Desktop 8.0 - working

It’s seems that the last update uses “something” not available or not properly working in localized versions of Windows or .NET Framework.

Any ideas, how to solve the problem?

@ultras,
You need to have the latest version of .NET framework which is 4.0 or 4.5beta.
I have MP working on both a Windows 7 and Windows 8 machine without a problem.

You are not right. The Mission Planners requires only 3.5 version installed. The installer ask for this before install.

Win XP and Win 7 systems have latest 4.0 version installed. Win 8.1 has 3.5 version installed. The only system among tested where MP is working - Windows 8.1 English not localized version with 3.5 .NET Framework installed. I guess you are not using the localized Russian edition of windows, that is why you have MP running without any problem.

The MP boot-up window on my Windows 8 machine said that I needed .NET framework 4 or higher.
