MiniAPM?

Hi!

I am running openpilot on my miniquad, but i would like to try Ardupilot with the return to launch and mission planning!

I found this board: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-MiniAPM-V3-1-Mini-ArduPilot-Mega-2-6-External-Compass-APM-Flight-Controller-/251549116605

Does this have the same functionallity as the larger boards? I like it since it has the same form-factor as the miniquad frames are made for (32x32mm boards)

Another question, do i need the power module? Isn´t the BEC in the ESC enough?

I would also like to know if i have any use of the airspeed sensor if i don´t use a OSD?

Many thanks!

Hi Micke,
I have one of those MiniAPM boards, you can use the BEC from an ESC, you will need to solder a jumper on the board, personally i prefer to use the power module so i can get battery levels with the telemetry.

I purchased mine from http://www.goodluckbuy.com/index.php?target=products&mode=search&subcats=Y&type=extended&avail=Y&pshort=Y&pfull=Y&pname=Y&pkeywords=Y&cid=0&q=miniapm&x=0&y=0 i also got the case from them.

There are a few sites mentioning this board, useful for the wiring diagrams;

So far mine behaves exactly like the APM2.6, no problem with mission planning etc, note that it does need external compass, there is NO compass on the board itself, i use a NEO-6M GPS and have it on a 250mm Quad, the most usefull feature being RTH.

Many thanks! Seems like a quite anonymous board :wink: If it works, i love it! Thanks!
