Hi,
i have a rpm sensor installed at aux5 but does not work with helicopter version 4.4.4.
I get the message:rpm failed to attach to pin 54
I have used this configuration in previous versions and it has always worked.
I have tried the aux6 channel and it doesn’t work either.
The hall sensor works correctly because I have tested it in version 4.1.5 and it does not cause problems.

Did you read https://ardupilot.org/copter/docs/common-gpios.html#common-gpios carefully.
This page shows a special warnig if you upgrade to a version 4.2 or later. And this you did from 4.1.5 to 4.4.4
So read and follow the linked page and you probably you will find yor wrong setting.
