Can I use MediaTek MT3329 type 1 ???

Its seem’s to be exactly the same but does not have the 3DR contribution

I’d like to use 3DR uBlox GPS with Compass Kit but it’s not available

The MediaTek 3329 V1 can be used with the APM as the firmware auto detects the GPS. However, I would advise against using the V1 as the V2 is much better and the uBlox GPS is even much better. I doubt that the loiter hold would be very good using the V1. But, then again, it is up to you.

Thanks for that but there is a problem. The V2 3DR Unit is offered for $37 BUT because we live in the UK they offer a minimum price FedEx delivery or $44

Now that does not make much sense for us …so we need to look at alternatives :astonished:

Yes, I hear you. Shipping costs to Europe is the biggest issue when buying from the USA.
