I would like to have an idea about the G force, I mean acceleration and decelaration, that my plane get when I fly fast , do a nosedive, catpult launch or land .
What are in the dataflash log the data to look at ?

IMU.AccX IMU.AccY IMU.AccZ
Also IMU2 equivalents.
Gave a rapid try and It works , thanks !
old post but usefull.
can you please guide me on converting imu.accx,y,z in vertical g force ?
thanks
IMU AccZ (vertical) is gās, units m/s^2
Divide by 9.8 to get a result in āgāsā
thanks
the idea is to check if z accel is correlated with thermals (soaring). It is of course but it could help to detect thermals before variometer.
