Mavlink protocol

we are creating a uav. we will use missionplanner for QGroundControl. and we think use mavlink protocule. but we don’t know that we need a device for example rasberry between QGroundControl computer(missionplanner) and our uav(plane). or can we directly creat connection between missionplanner on QGroundCOntrol and plane without any device(rasberry, arduino etc.)?

You can connect mission planner directly to the flight controller using a telemetry modem.
