MavLink over frsky tx/rx

Hello, fellow enthusiasts. I have a 7-inch copter equipped with ArduPilot. The flight controller I’m using is a Matek F405SE, and for transmission, I’m employing an FrSKY R9M TX/RX with a Taranis Q X7. Currently, I have bi-directional telemetry fully operational. With the use of yappu Lua scripts, I can both read and write certain ArduPilot parameters using my Taranis.

I’m curious, though. Would it be feasible to establish a connection between the R9M module and a laptop running ground station software in order to have a fully operational ground control station?

Based on my understanding, considering we have a duplex connection between the copter and the module, it might theoretically be possible to transmit MAVLink over it, similar to how it is done in the following link: SiK Radio — Advanced Configuration — Copter documentation, but using FrSKY hardware instead. I’d appreciate any input or advice.
