Cala, ive put the Pixhawl cube in my source one and extended the standoffs to 40mm and it all works well,but intend as I said trying to clean it up,you could use one of the F 4/7 boards but with my set up i can use the skydroid Tower and am using a li-on 4s 6250 batt that gives a very comfortable 18 mins flying time if you need more details just ask
P/s I just changed the motors from 2306 x1750 kv to 2207x1800kv to try and lower the amps but really need to get out and test its snowing here at the moment
Understood. I am used to not using trims with APM. The SERVO_AUTO_TRIM feature has allowed me to keep my Taranis trims all centered and have the plane or VTOL fly perfectly straight.
I just noticed there is a gimbal rocker control which eliminates another concern I had. I am not familiar with Tower yet but I am comfortable with Mission Planner and QGC. My understanding is that you can control all the flight modes you want from the apps and that the M12L supports multiple connections. I may have run out of ideas not to buy!
Ladies and Gentlemen,I have a question im using a tablet with my M12 with tower on it,is there any easy way do video the screen when it is doing a waypoint mission please,many thank’s
the tablet screen really,our local flying club have put out a challege for long range flight so would like to use the skydroid tower and the uvc video if possible they have said autonomous flight is o/k so would do it with way points im not really interested in winning just some fun and thank you.

Cala2 had mentioned that he was using QGC for the VTOL support so I was on a similar UVC fact finding mission and found your summary here. I thought I would post it for others. It might make a good entry into the manual FAQ.
Greg if you go back on here there is a 4.4 modified version ive just been out in the freezing cold and done a few flights every thing is working good now to warm up

UVC video works in a version of Skydroid Tower version (Yunzhuo Ground Station)
UVC video is a no go on qGroundControl. Not recognized

UVC works on Mission Planner.
UVC works on Qgroundcontrol. Requires selection of the video source and then restart it.
FYI… someone opened an issue on this. I chimed in on the thread of my similar experience and @DonLakeFlyer is looking into it. Hopefully he’ll get this resolved.
Update: According to this, the Daily Build as this resolved. Not sure how to implement it but maybe @DonLakeFlyer can point us to the right direction. Or someone here would know how.
The fix you are referring to is for connecting ChibiOS boards on Android. UVC on Android support varies based on device. Some work some don’t. We don’t have much/any control over that since we rely on third party code for the support.
