Landing in a different location than home

Hi Guys,

When I preform LAND in a location different than my home location (lets say I’ve traveled with the quad a few km’s from home location) - how can I manually set a new ground level, so that the automatic landing would slow 10 meters above the real ground altitude, and not the home altitude ?
I do not have a sonar, and I’ve tried setting my current location as a new home location, but this just zeros the relative altitude on the quad :frowning:

This sounds like a simple question, but I’ve searched for this extensively, and even lurked at the Copter code on GitHub and couldn’t find a proper solution :frowning:

Many thanks,
Yariv.

That’s an interesting one…

The only way I can think of to do this would be to use a Rally Point. If you’re far enough from Home and you do an RTL, the quad should go and land at the rally point and will use the ground height from there to manage the descent.
