Issues Binding R9 SX Receiver with Radiomaster TX16S and FrSky R9 2019 Module

Hello,

I’m having trouble binding my Radiomaster TX16S transmitter with a FrSky R9 2019 module to an R9 SX receiver and would appreciate some assistance.

Problem:

  • When I attach the FrSky R9 2019 module to the TX16S and try to bind with the R9 SX receiver, the binding process fails.
  • In the External RF settings, the R9M ACCESS option does not appear; only R9M is shown.

Setup:

  • Transmitter: Radiomaster TX16S (OpenTX version 2.3.13)
  • Module: FrSky R9 2019
  • Receiver: FrSky R9 SX

Steps Taken:

  1. Installed the module correctly on the TX16S and set the External RF to R9M.
  2. Put the R9 SX receiver into binding mode.
  3. Attempted to bind, but it was unsuccessful.

Additional Information:

  • Both the module and receiver have been updated to the latest firmware.
  • Binding works fine with other receivers and modules.

Questions:

  1. Does the Radiomaster TX16S support the ACCESS protocol?
  2. If not, do I need additional wiring to use the R9 2019 module?
  3. Why is the R9M ACCESS option not appearing in the External RF settings?

Any advice or suggestions on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

No. Choose an Rx that has ACCST firmware. I use R9-MM’s

Google “radiomaster tx16s r9 access” and you will find a “hack”. Good luck with that if you try it.

With the high probability Radiomaster transmitter firmware is not build with “external access mode”. Same with my Horus X12S. Check “System info” in the transmitter.
