Issue updating the home location altitude

I’ve been fiddling around for a while now trying to update the home location. I go to the plan screen, update the ASL field in Home Location, but now I don’t know what to do. I saw an older post saying that “Set Home Alt” button needs to be pressed, but I can’t find it anywhere.

I tried:

  • writing to a SITL and arming.
  • Hitting enter a bunch of times hoping it’d do something
  • Restarting MP
  • writing to a file and reading from it, then writing to a SITL and arming

Even after all of this, the ASL altitude doesn’t change when the SITL is at the home location.

Is there something I am missing?

You are probably using outdated versions of mission planer and ArduCopter. Update and it will work fine.
