Is my APM dead?

Hi everybody,

from yesterday my APM 2.5 light only the top green led, no bottom led and no respond to avrdude on terminal linux (avrdude say: avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout )

Is the APM irremediably dead? any miracolous hacks?¿
What kill the APM?
Yesterday I had updating APM via terminal LINUX with AVRDUDE… at 97% of load the process is stopping and the APM is not responding anymore…? What went wrong?
