The FC in my TRex 500 heli failed in fligh last weekend. I managed to land under full control without any damage (the FC had lost GPS), and now plan to replace the FC with another make. Since nothing has physically changed on the heli, is it safe to use the param file from the previous setup, which has been working smoothly for the past year and more?
I know I’ll have to change the servo assignments to suit the new board, and recalibrate accelerometer and compass, but can everything else remain the same?
