Is it important to buy Range finder sensor along with IR lock module for precision landing

Hello everyone!

I am planning to go for IR lock module and MarkOne Beacon for my drone to perform a precision landing.

Is it important to buy range finder along with IR lock module and MarkOne Beacon?
or
I can go for only IR module and MarkOne Beacon to make it work?

Kindly give me a suggestion on this.

For Precision landing via Mavlink and Companion Computer, it isn’t compulsory (if you speicify the “distance” field) but recommended.
For IR Lock it is compulsory… it will not work without it.
