I have seen the video about how to connect and charge the LiPo battery but I have a couple of questions that the video and instructions did not address.
Can someone tell me if the battery charger will automatically shut off when the battery is fully charged?
How long does it normally take to fully charge a battery. I realize it depends on how low the battery is drained I’m curious what the maximum charging time I can expect.
Yes, the charger does shutoff automaticly.
Since you can only use 80% of the total battery time and most of the time you will use all of it the charge times will be about the same amount of time.
5100mah x 80% = 4800mah.
3 amp charger will take an hour to charge 3000mah. So 4800/3000=1.6 hours plus 1/2 hour for balancing and you get just over 2 hours.

If you’re serious about flying and have the financial means, you’ll probably at some point want to buy another 5-7 batteries or so, and if you do that, you’ll almost need a dual-charger that can be found on Amazon such as

This also works with car cigarette lighter which can be helpful at times
I ordered a second battery with my Iris+. My charger is set at 3a charging rate but I suspect it is actually charging at a lower rate because the batteries are taking nearly 4 hours to recharge. It is kind of frustrating to fly for 15min then spend 4 hours waiting for the next battery to charge. I have a fair amount of credit built up on Amazon so I decided to cash it in and ordered a HiTec 4X AC/DC charger and four more batteries. I know the charge plug on the battery is an XT60 but can someone tell me what the balance plug is? I need to make me a set of balance plug pigtails and I need find a handful of female balance connectors.

The balance plug is JST-HX, 4 pins (GND and 3 cells).
