Interface between FC and computer?

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to learn more about how ardupilot is doing the configuration to the flight controller.
The mission planner on computer can do configuration and claibration to the sensors via USB.

I would like to ask if there is a reference/documenation about the protocol between the FC and computer and how this configuration can be applied.

This video show that there is sensor reading and calibration as example :

The protocol is mavlink 2.0 and is well documented.

isn’t the MAV link a radio communication protocol over the air ?

my question is related to USB communication between FC and PC.
