Interesting challenge, looking for suggestions

I have a x8 with solo link hooked to it for video, telemetry and control over wifi.
The stick calibration works fine, but cannot figure out how does one calibrate the ESCs if you cannot keep the throttle at 100% over wifi that powers on with the battery

Mission Planner has a brandy-new auto-magic ESC calibration.

hmmm, I saw that it had changed, are there docs on it?

As far as I can tell the documentation has not been updated (http://ardupilot.org/copter/docs/esc-calibration.html ), but if memory serves the new ESC Calibration “widget” was added when OneShot/Oneshot125 support was added for PixRacer.

I’m using “regular” ESCs. The widget defaults to “Normal” so I just follow the instructions at the top of the widget.
