Industrial grade pixhawk

I am considering putting ardupilot in a large fixed wing researchdrone. I know the cuav and hex pixhawk boards are popular and have been used in some really large projects, but are there any other manufacturers worth considering? Are there any company that makes more industrial grade hardware that runs ardupilot? I’m thinking something in line with mil spec components and more sturdy connectors on a fully cnc aluminium enclosure. Or perhaps a more rugged base board running a standard cube.
I believe I read about some company producing more industrial pixhawks some years ago but cannot seem to find it. Anyone knows if it exists?
