In case it helps mauch electronics seems to have incorporated ideal diodes into some of their power modules.

I have designed lots of ideal diodes - mostly for the military, but also for my own ‘fliers’. The key item in most cases is very low ON resistance. I typically shoot for 0.5 milliOhms.

In case anyone might be interested, I have found this type of hardware that can work for us to exchange our lipos with the system, it also has a real-time telemetry port.
