You may be right that the mosfet is on the other side of the board. I’ll have a look the next time I have access to the boat.
@manavgandhi17, I think you may be the exception (in a good way). Can I ask where you get your devices from or maybe they are DIY?
When I google around on the web I mostly see devices for solar systems like this DG7512-75V-12A-High-Current-Ideal-Diode from banggood but nothing easy to use with drones.
I’m sure more people would use them if they knew about them and they were readily available. E.g. if HobbyKing (or similar) sold them with XT60 or XT90 connectors and/or incorporated directly into a Y-cable.
