Greetings.

I wonder whether if there is scale ruler in mission planner data screen(maps)

while I flying my VTOLs, I couldn’t figure out map’s distance because my aircraft will be flying at far sea.

I don’t have landmark for estimating the distance and turning radius.

I have to transition right front of the moving ships, so if there is scale ruler on the map, it will be easy to calculate the transition distance and exactly transit right in front of the ship.

in this screen I couldn’t find the ruler line.

and I wonder the meaning of red circled part.

the distance will be based on your armed/home location. set that and it will just start working.

ie have a play with sitl to see it work

do you mean “the distance” is the distance in the red circled bar?

but it was not the main question.(I wonder the scale ruler)

I wondered the distance between the point to point on certain map coordinate, not the distance between home…

as I will fly over 50km, maybe the distance between home and UAV cannot be used as reference…
