How to set auxiliary switches in Plane apm :?

Hello,
I am driving myself nuts trying to find where to setup rtl on channel 7 or 8? I have my flight modes working on channel 5 and I know where you would change this in Copter settings but they don’t exist in the Plane version.

I’ve been through my entire configuration and attaching my parameter file to see if anyone can help.

It says" Some modes can also be invoked from the auxiliary switches (a.k.a. ch7, ch8 option switches). For example, to set a dedicated switch for RTL."

I don’t have a sub menu for :confused: Arducopter Pids with my plane firmware.

THE DOCO IS WRONG! Thanks for highlighting that - I will be removing that line as its not correct for Plane.
Plane is different to Copter. In Plane you choose one channel (controlled by FLTMODE_CH parameter) to control all your flight modes via a switch on your transmitter. In other words depending on what PWM value is being output on the mode channel that will control what mode your plane is in. So you need to set one of your switch positions to RTL.

It was driving me nuts on what happened to that setting. Just my 2 cents, I prefer to use an extra channel as my OPS button! That would take away the possibility of controller configuration change (i’m using open tx to configure and it’s getting complicated) and sending my plane into the ground. :slight_smile:

Sorry to hijack but how do you set up using channels 7 and 8 on your transmitter to control some aux ports? I have all 8 main outputs taken.
