Hi everyone,
We have a new to us quad with Herelink system and are trying to figure out the best method to mount the air unit antennas. The landing gears are CF, as well as the top shell.
If we use plastic to isolate the antennas, what thickness would be ideal? Do we need to do anything for the antenna wires, or just the antennas themselves?
Also, we’re aware of the 15° angle recommendation, but I wanted to ask what the minimum distance between the antennas should be for max range/penetration?
Lastly, has anyone here used the Airbot antennas with their Herelink? These would make shell mounting easier, but I don’t know how well tested they are in the wild.
