The manual for that ESC shows that connection is for a programming box. It’s not clear to me that telemetry is available on these ESC’s.

The ( no signal ) message is irrelevant to the ESC whether is connected to the serial4 or not.
The Pixhawk should send telemetry signal to the radio.
before I connect the big battery to the ESC the telemetry should read 0 since the ESC is off.
I don’t disagree with people staying away from the Pixhawk/ ardupilot things. It’s very complex and not enough information available. It’s more of those who studying in school than a simple hobby guy want to fly on the weekend.
