How to configure a GPIO as a LED stripe?

If I wanna use a GPIO as led stipe. what sould I consider, and how to configure?

I have notice some hwdef file configure "PA8 TIM1_CH1 TIM1 PWM(13) GPIO(62) ".

But how to figure out it is for LED stripe?
