How does redundancy work in the power supply for Pixhawk 2.1

I’m new to the world of drones. I have a Pixhawk 2.1, and I’d like to understand how the redundancy for the power ports works. Do I need to configure anything in Mission Planner?

I’d greatly appreciate any advice.

If you need redundant supplies, connect the standard power brick to PowerA and another one or ordinary BEC (5volts) to PowerB.
The USB port is also listed as a redundant source of supply, but it’s not practical or reliable to use the USB port to power everything in flight.
The servo supply rail is monitored but not used as a power supply for the flight controller, as it was on the 3DR Pixhawks and clones.
