How do I set up a simulator to fly a glider?

How do I set up a simulator to fly a glider? I’ve been using the simulator for a long time to learn the SOARING mode. I have tested the AUTO, FBWB and CRUISE modes with the THERMAL function. As described in the manual, my glider climbs SOAR_ALT_CUTOFF, glides with the engine off until SOAR_ALT_MIN, turns the engine back on and the process repeats. A great tool to learn all the features of SOARING mode without tiring outdoor flights, while not a single animal, including rare birds from the Red Book, will suffer from my mistakes in controlling the glider. However, there are two questions for the developer of this great work of the simulator.

  1. What settings do I need to make in the simulator parameters so that my glider can glide at a lower vertical speed? Now the simulator simulates gliding like an airplane, but not a glider, because the vertical speed is approximately equal to 20 km/h, which is -5.5 m/s. But my glider glides with a vertical speed of about -0.7 m/s.

  2. There is a parameter SIM_THML_SCENARI in the simulator parameters, probably this is a scenario for simulating flight in thermal flows? How do you use it to test the THERMAL AUTO function, in which the glider flies in a thermal flow?

My gratitude for the help knows no bounds. Thank you.
