I just purchased a radio compatible with HKPilot from Hobby king for 433mHz with the power output of 500mW. After receive I verified it looks exactly the same as the 100mW model and when I connected with Mission planner, the SIK Radio configuration only show me 20db. I could not verify if this radios is relly 500mW. Those any one has experience with this radio that could give me a tip?
It’s my understanding that those radios have a final output amplifier stage with a gain of 5X. This amplifier is not configurable. So consider the power level that is configurable thru Mission planner and multiple by 5 for total output power.
