high number of battery connected in parallel is there any like redundancy
Your question isn’t clear to me. What do you want to do?
If batteries are directly connected in parallel and one of these batteries is defect by a shortcut than all are short cutted and will be destroyed
high number of battery used in drone with parallel connection.is there any problem like over current consumption or over power
If one battery is discharged and the other fully charged and you plug them together in parallel, you will have high current, yes.
Describe in some more words what you want to do for what reason?
I’m making 50 kg payload drone for logistics purpose consuming amps is to high so i decided making parallel connection for my expected endurance
It’s more efficient and cost effective to plug them in series.
But the ESC, and motors need to be able to support the higher voltage. Can they?
Even if the batteries are connected in series, they must have the same capacity and the same charge level, otherwise the weaker battery may be deeply discharged and damaged.
But without knowing all the technical details, it is difficult to make a sensible recommendation.
The best thing to do is to use a battery with a correspondingly large capacity.
No redundancy. As explained by @Juergen-Fahlbusch if one battery in the parallel connection fails high currents within the connections can result.
no one is making large capacity battery
if any one is there can you send contact details
Hi Praveen,
as send before you have to specify what you need. Only the information that you want to build a 50kg payload drone is not much.
For example I have built a nominal 48V 1000Ah battery system for my hobby truck but I am sure you are not looking for such thing.
No one is making what? What voltage, capacity and max current requirement?
You want a big LiPo?
voltage -51.8V
capacity-30Ah
Max current - 700A
big lipo or big lithium ion
Might want to look into an ideal diode controller, it allows one to safely parallel many batteries together.
Then buy 2 14S ~16ah Lipo’s and parallel them.
I don’t think you need help with a Google search.
If your batteries are all of same size/capacity, of same vendor and lot, are always discharged together (at same rate/current) and are always balanced charged in the same charger, and wire path of each parallel pack are same resistance (or at least similar), then no problem paralleling them I think.
I use 4S-2P (2 packs of 4 cells each) Li-ion in my drone and works very well
small capacity is ok. i use 14s 30ah then 10 nos connected in parallel is that ok.
Do I understand correct, you will connect ten 14s 30ah Lion or LiPo in parallel?
If yes, You must ensure that the equalizing currents between the individual battery packs do not become too large. The currents can become extreme, especially during assembly of such a pack, if the individual packs have a different charge level. Before connecting the packs together, they must be equalized using an appropriate battery management system. Otherwise, there is a real risk of fire.
