I have setup a Here4 as a flight controller and would like to use it just to log location. I know some autopilots don’t have a SD card but do have a capability for onboard dataflash logging. Not sure where I would check this for the Here4 (maybe somewhere in the hwdef file?) but in any case, I couldn’t get it to generate any logs which I checked with Mission Planner.
I’m also not familiar with LOG_BACKEND_TYPE but it seems like it might be possible to use the “stream over mavlink” bit to accomplish this? If possible, I would like to keep contained completely to the Here4.
Can you show me the connection diagram, I also want to make here4 as a flight Controller.
Please Can you tell me how to install firmware on here4, I am trying to install firmware but not able to do that.
Please help me
I have set it to block logging LOG_BACKEND_TYPE, 4 without any success. I have tried copter and plane firmware; arming and using LOG_DISARM, 1; and powering over serial0 in the same setup used to flash it and external power with a battery + power module and arming via an RFD.
As for the rest of my setup, I perform accel and compass cal’s, frame setup for copter, and disable rc failsafe. Has anyone else had success logging on the Here4? Unfortunately I don’t have another autopilot that uses dataflash logging to see how it’s supposed to work.
I’ve been checking for logs by using Mission Planner and using the data flash logs tab the same way I would with a Cube. I also noticed on the MAVtfp screen it doesn’t populate the main folder at all, whereas the cube has logs, terrain data, etc.
