Hey guys just got my hex finished and was wanting to go out and tune it but I can’t as I don’t have a channel 7 or 8 on my dx6i and the gear channel is used for stabalize is there anyway of starting this process without having to change too much ?

Are you using your last two channels? I don’t know Dx6 to help with that end.
You don’t have to use the same channel number on the RX for the 7 and 8 inputs, you just need a spare channel on the rx you can assign to a switch.
The other way is as autotune is so infrequent is to set all you flight modes to stabilise so you can’t change using the radio, and wire to ch7 or 8 inputs, assign auto tune as require using the gear switch. then once all done wire it back to the way you will fly.
