Hello,
I’m making a prototype with ardupilot for a future project.
I need help choosing a combo of propellors and motors.
I’ve considered the blue robotics t200 propellors but it’s like $500+ for 2 not even including battery
Ideally the combo of motor, propellor, battery, esc is as cheap as reasonably possible. How small and cheap of electronics can I get away with to push a light boat?
I only need slow speeds of like >1m/s
Electronics I plan to use Pixhawk 2.4.8, M8n gps, 955mhz telemetry. + rc reciver + esc + battery
I was looking at a kit of 2 green propellors and esc on ali express.
I’m afraid of the parts not working or instantly breaking , and since i’m sort of on time pressure, needing to order a new esc or something would suck
How long do you need them to last? If it’s just a few days in the water or just a couple of hours at a time, then they should be ok. but i wouldn’t send them out to sea.
oh thanks for adding links, i didnt see them.
I will get that kind of thing.
I dont need long range at all.
What kind of battery capacity should i be looking at for 20-30 minutes of runtime. The description on some of them is like 30A with 30-200W which is such a large range.
-edit:
some others say 12-24V but also say 300kV in the same title?
I’ve used the green and red ones and they only lasted through one test at the end of which I beached the boat and the sand got into the thrusters and destroyed them. Very disappointing.
BlueRobotics is also a long time ArduPilot partner company which donates to AP and also make code contributions.
