Unless you reverse polarity or connect the wrong voltage, it’s hard to hurt the board components.
You can certainly hurt yourself by actuating motors when you don’t intend, but you shouldn’t be afraid to change settings when you know the wiring is correct.
I would suggest solving this yourself rather than relying on the manufacturer in this hobby. It’s like walking into the local Hobby shop for help " I have this Pixhawk here…". A what?
