Help can't talk to APM2.5 after flashing

Hi I am pretty new to this and I have just managed to get my APM hooked up to my mac using the latest planner 2.0.

My problem is as follows:

Flashed the APM with USB no problem at all. Then try to connect and only on one occasion have I ever had a link to the unit which has allowed me to go to the next set of settings. When connecting the usb the power light come son and the blue light flashes for a few seconds and then stops. Currently only have the green light stable and I can’t do anything. Is there something I have done wrong?

Please help…

Further to the above I had a look in the communications window and managed to pull the following;
Opened port!
Link usbmodemfd111 is connected.
Init ArduCopter V3.1.2 (ddd4d881)
Free RAM: 1599
FW Ver: 120

anyone got ideas?

Looks like a hardware error. Potentially 3.3v regulator failure.

See diydrones.com/forum/topics/hello … or-message

This video shows how to check the regulator voltage:

my APM2.6 encountered the same issue…

after much reading, i am convinced that the 3.3V regulator was faulty…
And my shaky hands and poor eyesight doesn’t allow me to replace the 3.3V regulator safely.

So this is what I did…

No solder method for resolving faulty 3.3V regulator

Hope this helps
