I’m looking into getting the APM2.6 and I see the recommended GPS is the 3DR uBlox . I have an EM-506, would that be a good substitute (and add a compass)? Or should I spend extra on the uBlox?

The GPS/Compass Module that 3DR sells has the new Neo 7 GPS which replaces the original LEA-6.
There is also a newer uBlox GPS receiver called the M8N.
The EM-506 has been on the market for almost two years and maybe getting dated already.
