Google Map location offset in Mission Planner

HI All,

I’m trying to “register” a map in mission planner with the actual “ground truth” of a surveyed point on the ground. I recently had a surveyor come out and layout in a GPS reference pin on my driveway in a location that I can easily correlate and see on google maps. I’m using an RTK GPS system that allows me to resolve other points within about 5 - 7 cm. This all works pretty well, as the GPS rovers move around the relative positions from the base station (which is sitting on the surveyed pin) line up and track pretty well. But… They are all skewed on the mission planner map and don’t show up oin the correct place on the map image.

The weird thing is, if I enter the base pin coordinate into the google maps window (Actual Google Map site) the GUI marker on the map lines up correctly with where it sould be on the ground. For some reason, there is an offset in the mission planner map, or at least this is what is looks like to me.

Has anyone else seen anything like this?

Thanks
TT

how are you importing it?
