I’d like to do a large (15"-17" prop) octo / gimbal / camera that is Pixhawk-powered.
Here’s what I know:
Skyjib 8 – awesome, but expensive
Carbon Core – only available in quad and X8
DJI S1000 – expensive, plus locked into their motors/ESC’s
RCTimer S1000 – knock-off of DJI. Better price, locked into their ESCs
Tarot T15/T18 – promising, cost-effective – but is it cheap?
Cinestar – not that expensive… but not folding and non-retractable landing gear
If I had to pull the trigger this moment, I might go with a Tarot. What do you guys think?
Is doing a project like this crazy? Is a Pixhawk appropriate for a frame in this class/size?
