Flightcontroller for Arduplane

Hello
I’m looking for a new flightcontroller for a fixwing plane.

Until now I have made a few experience with APM 2.5, Matek F405 and Matek F765 WSE.
I use the FC with FrSky Receivers and yaapu telemetrie via SPort.

I want to buy a new FC. What about the Matek F405-WMN?

In the past I had problems to connect the FC with the SPort or FPort.

Is the F405-WMN a good choice?
Can I connect this FC with a newer FrSky receiver (for example a Archer Rx) via FPort? The problems are these inverted and uninverted protocols.

Thank you!

matek wlite and wing are the 2 I would recommend for planes.

Thank you for your answer!

What about the F.Port or S.Port?
Which FrSky receiver is supported? The F4 chip seems to look for the non inverted (hacked) S.Port signal

you need to invert the serial connection. As far as I know you cant do smartport/fport without an inverter cable or modified receiver when using a F405 controller unless it has a built in inverter.

Thank you.

This is a screenshot from this site:

is it correct that I don’t have to invert the signal of the Archer receivers?

frsky is “inverted” as standard. so when they say inverted, they mean from the standard inverted configuration. so we are uninverting it by inverting the inverted signal.

so you need “inverted s.port” according to frsky for it to work with a f405 controller.

ok thank you.

Is there a way to invert the inverted signal? With a hardware?

for example this:

?

yes that works, I posted a link to one a few posts back.

Thank you!

Are these converters bidirectional?

yes smartport and fport are both bidirectional protocols.
