Is it possible to flash the internal ESP32 on the SpeedyBee F405 V3/V4, which is connected to UART4, to repurpose it for MAVLink telemetry?
Speedybee has its own proprietary firmware; if it’s updated, it can’t be reverted.
If it’s encrypted, it might not even flash successfully.
I found one post and the author has successfully flashed DroneBridgeESP32 firmware on to the board KakuteH7v2 ESP32-C3 reflash - #8 by kolin
Yes, then you lost speedybee app feature. As you don’t have speedybee firmware.
Speedybee app? It doesn’t really do much on ardupilot as far as i can tell.
I have the speedybee f405 mini and it looks like the pads are exposed on it too, I will try this soon as the stock firmware isn’t great.
I have some C3 dev boards I’m going to test some firmware with first to see what else is available.
speedybee app is used for betaflight/inav etc.
