Hi everybody ! I have 1 small question! I am currently using a 5 inch quad! GPS Micoair MG A01 (M10 Ultra) and Telemetry Module LR900-F/P are also products of Micoair! I tested the “guide mode” but the problem occurs when every time I connect telemetry and gcs the GPS signal starts to drop significantly! But every time I remove the Telemtry module, the GPS’s ability to receive satellite waves suddenly works again! Why does the Telemtry Module conflict with GPS? Is there any way to fix it! Because every time I connect telemtry to GCS to test Guide mode, the signal and number of satellites are not enough to do it even in Loiter mode! GCS continuously warns GPS: bad fix and the number of satellites always fluctuates at 5 or less! GCS keeps not giving me arms! Does anyone know how to fix this error? Please help me
Move the telemetry transceiver away from the GPS receiver. And the antennas need to be further away as well.
If it is not possible, get better telemetry modules that produce less RF interference.
thanks Amil! i think 5inch frame is too small for telemetry module
Consider changing the antenna on your GNSS receiver to a helical/patch antenna, or changing the telemetry to 5.8 GHz.
I had the same issue (albeit with different hardware) and was able to resolve it this way.
omg greate brother ! do you have discord ! are you a member of Ardupilot discord ! what your name on it ? i will add ! we need to talk!
Unfortunately, I’m not an English speaker, so even if we had a voice meeting, I wouldn’t be able to help you in any meaningful way.
Let me describe my experience in a little more detail: I used a Holybro 915MHz 500mW telemetry and a Holybro GPS (probably M8N) in a small copter (wheelbase < 400mm).
I think the 915 MHz of the telemetry was causing interference with the GPS L1, L2 signal, which I couldn’t solve by repositioning the antenna due to the small size of the aircraft.
So I changed the telemetry to 5.8 GHz (ELRS) and replaced the GNSS with a helical antenna(F9P, presumably a better chip, so it’s better at countering interference), and it worked. I’m guessing either one of those would work, but I think moving the telemetry’s frequency further out would work well.
sorry, we dont need to talk we can send the message for both of us bro! can you send me a picture ?? Helical Antenna? where should i buy it ?
