ERROR: No Response from board - SOLVED

Just did the update to - 1.3.48 and am trying to Install Firmware to the board.

PC Device Manager detects port:- PX4 FMU (COM3)

Mission Planner does not! - ERROR: No Response from board

SOLUTION:
1 - Cannot use USB external connector, you HAVE to connect directly to the board
2 - Power the board directly - NOT via USB
3 - Restart computer BEFORE reconnecting

How do you power the board directly?

Had the same problem, all I did was plug USB directly into the Cube instead of the carrier board.

The problem reared its head when I was trying (and failing) to use SLCAN bypass mode.
