I built a X8 vtol. The firsts flights show poor control; is difficult to mix pitch and roll movement. When trying the Loiter mode the aircraft cannot complete the turns and shows erratic behavior. I am thinking that the servo rod movement is too short. maybe someone has experience with it…thank you in advance.
most control problems start with the mechanical aspect needing improvement - as you mentioned with the servo rod. Make sure the control surfaces are getting a lot of deflection in manual mode, then check the elevon mixing parameters in mission planner, you can change them for more deflection and less mixing to improve control as well. best of luck!
