@droneright, all necessary capacitors are on the board of the ESC itself. this are the small moreless brown components. Extra big capacitors if needed are for the powerrail to prevent other components like the FC and receiver from brown out resets. So this normally not causes real defects on the ESC. If the ESC is fefect as you said the reason was something else as Allister said.
