DroidPlanner Signal Strength Confusion

I just purchased an IRIS+ and was flying it with DroidPlanner/Tower in a small park. I kept getting the voice warning “Weak Signal” even when the copter was only 30 feet away from me. I would quickly look at the RSSI and REMSSI and the values were like 85db but the percentage would be all over the board. Sometimes it would dip under 10%. What is the percentage based on? and is there a problem with my telemetry that I was getting these weak signal warnings?

If I had a dime every time I heard that… I think your telemetry connection is just fine if it’s saying 85 the warning is just a glitch with DP. Just a guess. You could turn on GCS signal loss failsafe to confirm.
