DragonLink Receiver Not Communicating with Pixhawk

I’m trying to set up a system for an autonomous boat using a DragonLink V2 receiver and transmitter, a taranis QX7 controller, and a Pixhawk 6C. I’ve installed the latest ArduRover firmware to the Pixhawk and I’m using Mission Planner for the whole operation.

I’ve configured the transmitter and receiver and set the Mission Planner parameters according to DragonLink’s instructions, and I’ve double- and triple-checked the wiring between the receiver and the autopilot. I can run motors directly off of the receiver just fine, so I know the controller-transmitter-receiver circuit is communicating properly, but when I plug the receiver into the Pixhawk, it seems like no signal is getting through to the autopilot. When I go to calibrate the radio in Mission Planner, there’s no green on any of the bars, which I’m pretty sure means the receiver is not communicating with the Pixhawk.

I’ve tried messing with the Mission Planner parameters, the receiver configuration, and the controller options, but nothing has worked so far, and there are basically infinite options. I feel like I’m missing something obvious, but I don’t know what. If anyone has any ideas what might be causing this or how I might be able to debug and/or fix it, I’ll take anything at this point.

Hi @stoat,

It looks like our DragonLink wiki page isn’t of much help sadly.

It’s hard to be sure but I’d say the most likely issue would be the autopilot’s serial port’s baud rate not matching but the DragonLink requires. So for example, if the DragonLink is connected to Telem1 then SERIAL1_BAUD should be set to match whatever DragonLink requires. Normally it’s 57600 or 115200
