DP without 3dr radio

Can DP be connected to the flight controller directly via usb cable (like missionplanner) or does it only work via 3dr radio?

Sure, go in Settings, Telemetry Connection Type USB and in Advanced Telemetry Link Speed choose 115200 for direct connection by cable. Use 57600 when connect by radio
